Description david_xph2 2014-04-04 06:19:48 UTC
I use two PC's still running Windows XP with Beta 4.1.0
On one machine I can open any valid file from within within Open Office and from Windows.
On the second machine I can open any valid file from within Open Office but from within Windows I get 'Not a valid Win32 application.

All file associations are valid.
Comment 1 Andre 2014-04-04 06:49:36 UTC
This sounds a little like the file associations on the second machine look valid but are not. Maybe they point to some older, half uninstalled version of OpenOffice?

I have Woindows 10 and I spent hours working on documents and writing a book and cannot open any of them. It processes and then just stops without opening. Also constant crashing. Is it Windows 10 I am using version 4.1.2

Sorry, this is not the situation described by the creator of this issue. I appreciate that the title is not that clear. Also notice that this issue is two years old without any follow-up to Andre's response, so it is about 4.1.0 and Windows XP.

I am going to resolve the current issue as irreproducible because of the lack of information.

With regard to the Windows 10 question of mlecckner15, there needs to be more information (and a better place to work through it).

Look at Issue 126188. Is this closer to what you are experiencing. Please see the last comment there.
