Reassigned to BH How controversial can this be to get into 1.1 ? surely it's a trivial ergonmic fix ? and the code is mind-blowingly dumb. As special characters are a part within the font-codepage, the symbol font will not be defaulted here. Defaulting symbolfont makes sense, when the insert special dialog would get enhanced with a further Symbol-tabpage. Hello Andreas, as this issue has been changed to patch (by mh) please evaluate, what should happen with the offered solution. Thank you. If we accept the patch we improve the ergonomic to insert symbol. But it would be more difficult to insert a non symbol character :-( I think BH is right when she proposed an additional tabpage for the specila character dialog. This would be my preferred solution, too. So I don't accept the proposed patch and change the task to "Enhancement" again. To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
