file in oo.org on windows
in these screenshots first paragraph can be seen - these both are taken on windows. in oo.org on linux it looks like in oo.org on windows. unable to test in msword, though :) Ah, now I see. confirming issue. The document looks like in OOo when opened with MS-Word viewer (running with wine). I'll attach a screenshot showing the document opened in WordViewer running on linux with wine. file opend with word-viewer with the same error like OOo...
MRU->MM: See characters like "Ā" or "Š"; they become "Â" and "Ð" after import in Writer. mmaher->richlv: How was this doc file created? Was it exported from OO to word 95 format? I am trying to figure out if this might be a duplicate of issue 33074 i'm almost completely sure that it was not produced with oo.og. i believe that it was created (and edited a lot...) with different versions of msword, and my guess would be that with some version of word it was saved as word95. unfortunately it's been a while so it would be pretty hard for me to find out who last saved the file (and then getting them to remember how/from what they saved it - impossible :) ) Set to target OOoLater due to lack of resources. mmaher->flr: Yours I think assigning to hbrinkm Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
