Description chrisclee 2004-04-28 10:28:51 UTC
Hi chaps, I have a hung installer which appears unable to either complete, or
quit the installation process. The installation went very well up until the
point at which the un-installer was being installed at which point a low memiory
on harddrive message came up recommending quitting programs (no others running
as advised), or deleting files to free up swapspace. I cleared a 1/4 gig of
space, but the install program did not proceed any further. I therefore quit the
instalation but nothing is moving. Is it safe to shut down and re-start, and is
there any way I can either recover the install process, or uninstall the
software safely post re-start? The box is an old G3 imac, running the last
release of Jaguar with Darwin installed,

appologies for posting but I really could not seem to find the answer in any of
the faq pages.

best wishes

chris
