Create download page for metrics report.

I think i should create a metrics project; anyone subscribed to the website
bugzilla list would be able to see the links to the reports.

Created metrics project, but unable to check out /metrics in Wincvs.

Kat, can you do a little investigation in the OOo cvs area and see if there's
any evidence of a metrics/ project?
Comment 3 Unknown 2001-01-23 18:01:47 UTC
There is a metrics project at both anoncvs and oo.org and the permissions look
OK to me. What happens when you try to check it out?
Comment 4 Unknown 2001-01-23 19:26:59 UTC
Hm. Here's what WinCVS reports:

> cvs checkout -P metrics/ (in directory C:\collab\OOo\site)
> cvs server: Updating metrics
> cvs server: Updating metrics/www
>
> *****CVS exited normally with code 0*****

which means that as far as CVS is concerned, everything is fine.

But I get no 'metrics' folder to work with in my filesystem.

How about this. Could you try checking in a test file there, say a text
document?
Comment 5 Unknown 2001-01-23 20:10:17 UTC
Just checked in a testfile to www - no problems. Do you see the folder now? When
you check out with -P it omits empty directories.
Comment 6 Unknown 2001-01-23 20:23:07 UTC
yes, that was it! Thanks Kat.

In the future, how should we do this? I'll dork with WinCVS a bit and see if i
can remove the -P option, which it defaults to.

I guess the question is really a WinCVS one: how do you start a new module in
WinCVS? I'll see if i can find out. For now, though, this issue is resolved.

Here's a useful guide for WinCVS: http://www.computas.com/pub/wincvs-howto/

moving to another subcomponent to allow removal of the current subcomponent.
