Find out the skinny on the technical feasibilty of subscription functionality
for newsgroups.  What are the issues involved and what are the high-level
implimentation details.

It doesn't have a subscription option per sea, but it does allow for 
username / password to restrict access.  This is what Borland and Corel 
do with their beta newsgroups.  They also use secure nntp (uses SSL).

It's my understanding that the functional end of this is all being handeled by 
the NNTP bridge solution we're implimenting.

Please reopen if I"m incorrect.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved
<wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for
details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
