Description issues@www 2001-02-08 20:39:25 UTC
If I use an IGEL Etherminal to start remotely soffice everything works fine
except the fonts (that are missing) like Times New Roman... When I type chars
are invisible and huge. I just see the cursor moving.

I had to change the default font to "courrier" or "helvetica".

No message for missing font anywhere. soffice didn't try to replace the font by
another... you have to do it yourself manually.

Normally you get "Times" instead on "TimesNewRoman" on almost every X-platform
since timesNewRoman" is a Windows font. Have a look in your Font Path. Another
serif font is "Timmons" that comes along with OO. Instead of changing the
default font, you might use the font replacement feature, if it is for display
purpose only (and you don't intend to change the fonts in the documents). try
Tools-Options->general-Font Replacement

To be able to see a font, you have to have it installed locally. Please check
this and comment.

Is ANYONE interested in a further investigation? If so, give me a hint. If not,
this one will be closed as not reproducible. Thank you.

Remotly used fonts have to be also installed locally to be displayed.
