Can't reproduce using 2.2m8 and 2.2m14 on WinXP and 2.2m14 on Suse 10.2 - "Use all languages" remains checked even after closing quickstarter. Closing as WFM for now. alfozavr, please see if recreating profile will help. For that you need to close OO (includign QS), rename OpenOffice.org2 in \Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\ and restart OO. Please see if "Use all languages" is retained then and post the result. kpalagin, I always do what you described before each reinstall of OOo (I uninstall the previous version and delete the user profile folder before installing the new version). I use Windows XP SP2 and the official en-US version of OOo 2.2 (I downloaded the default one from the OOo site). The problem happened also with the official 2.1 version. I haven't tryed developer builds. I deleted all the installed dictionaries from the corresponding folder and tryed checking the "Check in all languages" option, still it doesn't remain enabled, so dictionaries doesn't influence the problem. Don't think it's time to close the issue, as it continues to not work at least for me. I have the same problem. Czech version, new install, on two different XP SP2 machines. *** Issue 76682 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** alfozavr, vion, please see what happens when you actually save the setting. For that please use http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/FileAndDisk/Filemon.mspx to monitor if there is some kind of file-system failure when Office saves the setting. Please report your findings. alfozavr, please attach your "Linguistic.xcu". Confirming with the file "user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Linguistic.xcu" provided privately - "Check in all languages" is not retained after Quickstarter is closed. alfozavr, please attach your "C:\Documents and Settings\Павел\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Linguistic.xcu" to the issue. *** Issue 74709 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Dear developers, Apparently we have several issues like this - http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=76462 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=74709 and another one that I can't find at the moment. What are the plans for this issue? Thanks. alfozavr, vion, please vote for this issue. This issue must be closed. This option seems to be removed with 3.0.1 Can you confirm it? Confirmed. See reasoning in issue 69451. There is no such option as "check in all languages" in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 any more (because the grammar checking has been introduced, by the way, congratulations on that, great work!), so I agree with you that this issue should be closed. Set to invalid (see comments above). Closed. |
