Description issues@www 2000-11-03 18:45:17 UTC
I have just installed openoffice 6.09 and I try to run it on my linux box,
kernel 2.2.17, debian woody and gnome from helixcode, all packages up to date.

The application begin but it does take the focus and when I try to open a file
nothing happen when I click on the open button. The same operation with
staroffice 5.2 works well.

If I open my session with ICEWM I can open and read the file. When I want to
print it I obtained the message "no installed printer, install one" and I do not
found how to install a printer.

Please do not report several problems at once. Opening a file and setting up a
printer are three different pairs of shoes :-)

On http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/source_overview.html you can find a
chapter "What's there and what's not" QUOTE "The source code available at
Openoffice.org is the majority of the current source code under development for
StarOffice 6.0. Not available are certain 3rd party source code (for example:
printing, spell checking); we will explain this situation further in the week
following the launch, please bear with us. The source code is pre Alpha code and
is undergoing extensive development and change " UNQUOTE

The Application should take the focus when started.

In a (yet internally available) 611, files can be opened.
