Display Window Example
Reassigned to SBA. Please tell us which build you used (e.g. 3.0b, DEV300_m17), and which steps we need to take to reproduce the problem. In DEV300_m21 (Intel), I can rotate text using Format > Character > Position > Rotate/Scale > 90ยบ. Is this what you were trying to do? 1. Rotate monitor so that it is sideways, 2. goto System Preferences then to Displays, then Rotate your screen 90 degrees or whatever... 3. run Open Office and create a new Text document... It has nothing to do with rotating text on a document... it has to do with a physically Rotated Screen. This issue must be fixed as it deals with how the application deals with differing displays and configurations. OOO300m5 build 9350 Problem exists, makes program unusable, unless I change rotation to 0 degrees. To clarify issue: Mac OS X supports physical rotation of the display (look in system preferences:Displays) in units with an ATI video card. I am running on a Mac Pro with two displays, main display is a Philips 230W rotated in a portrait orientation at 1200 wide x 1920 high orientation, the other a CRT at 1600 x 1024. It is possible to rotate a display at any time during the use of a program. Programs other than OOO adapt dynamically with no problem. There is no problem after I log out and back in again if the display is in the landscape orientation. Problem returns with reverting to the portrait orientation. Feel free to consult with me if it is helpful. i@swalker.ca I have this issue on max osx 10.5.6 with an external display rotated 90 degrees OpenOffice.org 3.0.0 OOO300m9 (Build:9358) *** Issue 89320 has been confirmed by votes. *** |
