Character input is handled by VCL Could be a system problem, because on Solaris this is in all Applications the case (only a Terminal Window handle this correct). If this is on Linux only in our Application, we should try to solve this problem - in the other case it should be solved in Linux/Solaris and the Bug should go to the Linux/XFree community. this is the default behavior for all Gnome / CDE / X applications except dtterm. To remain consistent with the IME behavior in other applications I will not change it As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate issues.
