Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 262
When CapsLock key is active, holding shift and typing letters produces uppercase letters.
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:34 UTC
When CapsLock key is active, holding shift and typing letters (even latin) produces uppercase letters (should produce lowercased).
Character input is handled by VCL
Could be a system problem, because on Solaris this is in all Applications the case (only a Terminal Window handle this correct). If this is on Linux only in our Application, we should try to solve this problem - in the other case it should be solved in Linux/Solaris and the Bug should go to the Linux/XFree community.
this is the default behavior for all Gnome / CDE / X applications except dtterm. To remain consistent with the IME behavior in other applications I will not change it
