Description lars 2002-12-13 01:30:25 UTC
as an option : have editing of text behave like in windows notepad.

I'm thinking of the word highlighting behaviour: directly just as user does,
without any twaddle of assumptions of what he would have liked done
Comment 1 lars 2002-12-13 01:35:24 UTC
wait, i just don't get any problems;

but you should think about your letter (or character in a word)
highlighting:

take font Thorndale and highlight letters -> only half of a letter is
highlighted, sometimes. 1 and 1/2 is highlighted ... -> not good.

be exact.
Comment 2 lars 2002-12-13 01:43:18 UTC
take letter f: 1/2
            g: 1 1/2

this is only a problem with other fonts: Arial: w

it's propably the problem of where the blinking cursor is, how far it
is away from the highlighted part and how you handle spaces between
directly-next-to-each-other-characters or the definition of the width
of a character.
