Description mvcube 2009-05-25 11:53:06 UTC
This seems to be an old issue but the latest issues filed here are merely
talking about WMF export. This is about import on a non-MS platform.

I'm creating drawings with an old Visio version 4 and export them as WMF for
import into Writer. Under Windows, everything looks as intended but under Mac
OS, the fonts are rendered to small (at about 50% width but correct height.)

@ wg: something for you?
Comment 5 lohmaier 2009-06-02 10:06:04 UTC
confirmed on linux and Mac/PPC
Exporting the file to doc and opening that doc with wordviewer (running with
wine) displays the wmf as intended.

My guess is that the wmf has a quirk or two, since opening the wmf file in gimp
or display also shows the image with the narrow font spacing.

If possible, please attach a small wmf that still exhibits the problem, i.e.
only some text with a rectangle around to show the "should-be" dimensions

I tried to load the WMF with the GraphicConverter Mac application V6.4. It is
rendered correctly.
