Description bouldergolfer 2009-06-19 19:15:45 UTC
I have been using Oo2.0 and have recommended it to several people who also use
it and like it, some better than MS Office. I have contributed, and kept
informed on Oo. I saw the upgrade to Oo3 and decided to upgrade as anything
added would be just great. Once I downloaded Oo3 I opened it and no matter what
I opened, Writer, Calc, etc. all the default pages were a dark green background
with black font. It printed as white with black font but the green and black is
EXTREMELY hard on the eyes. I tried EVERTHING I knew to change the default to
the white blackground with black font as default. Despite all my attempts it
would not change to a default. In Impress when I opened it up it automatically
went to a slide with a default frame. I am use to it opening to a blank frame
and then I chooses the background. This too I could not change. After spending
several hours of frustration I just uninstalled 3+ and re-installed Oo2 and all
was good again. What is the solution? If this is set in stone I will stick to
the Oo2. Please advise.

P.S. This is the second time I have submitted this as the first time I received
absolutely NO response at all....

Which OS do you use? Which theme do you use there?

You can set the default colors for OOo in Tools > Options > Appearance. You find
"Application Background" and "Document Background" somewhere at the beginning of
that list.

Your first issue has got an answer, perhaps you have missed it because of a spam
filter?
