Description alfeno 2009-06-22 17:51:58 UTC
Helo for everbody;

The OpenOffice Impress has some mistake when it opens a .ppt (PowerPoint).

This powerpoint slides has a little animation. This causes a hight consumption
(=> 90%) of processed of my computer.

This slides has not a Macromedia Flash animation.

This presentation is very short. It has only 20 slides.

Obs: My computer configuration is
     AMD Athon XP 2700
     02 Gibaytes os RAM
Video card: AMD/ATI Radeon 9600 with last driver

Thanks for everyone.

As described. Also with 2.04, 2.3.1, 3.0 and m49 (all on Windows).

On Solaris x86 I measured 5.5% cpu after loading this file (8 way Opteron
dualcore, 3 Ghz, 64 GB memory). Probably a Windows only related issue.
Comment 6 kpalagin 2009-06-23 11:39:05 UTC
5.5% is almost exactly one core out of 16 cores (8 sockets by 2 cores/socket).
Comment 7 wolframgarten 2009-07-01 10:34:13 UTC
Reproducible. Reassigned. With 3.0 final on Win XP the performance need is a
little bit lower but not much.

I would suggest to everyone. Using the same type of hardware than mine. I'm sure
that a single core processor from kpalagin is more powerful than my AMD Athlon
XP 2700 +

Some of the reported problems of OOo is only noticeable on computers weaker.

My environment

Processor: AMD Athon XP 2700+
RAM: 1.5 GibaByte
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3
Ooo Version: 3.1.1

Obs: I can reproduce this issue using any gif animated.
