Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 103048
Double-click to auto-resize all columns results in return to GNOME Login screen
Last modified: 2014-01-19 14:30:52 UTC
OS: Fedora 10 DE: GNOME 2.24.3 Actions leading to bug -> Open oocalc and commence work on a spreadsheet -> Select all rows and columns by clicking in the top left hand corner between the column and row labels -> double click on a column handle when the column resizing cursor appears Expected result: Automatic resizing of all columns to fit their content. Actual result: Display flashes; Mouse pointer indicates activity in progress; System returns to login page.
I do not reproduce the problem with OOo 3.1 FR/US on Ubuntu 8.04. Which version are you using ? Version provided by your distribution or native version downloaded from OOo website ?
This occurs on Fedora 10 with OOo 3.0.1 and GNOME 2.24.3. Also occurs on Fedora 11 with OOo 3.1.0 and GNOME 2.26.2
Ok, but have you downloaded OOo yourself from OOo website or are you using the version (probably go-oo) provided by your distribution ?
"Ok, but have you downloaded OOo yourself from OOo website or are you using the version (probably go-oo) provided by your distribution ?" I strongly doubt this has anything to specifically do with the distribution OOo, more like its a problem with the X Server. And Fedora OOo is not using go-oo, its just a vanilla OOo with the additional patch of issue 90439 applied
Can not reproduce with AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1539999 2013-11-09_04:08:11 - Rev. 1540252 Debian, KDE
