I do not reproduce the problem with OOo 3.1 FR/US on Ubuntu 8.04.
Which version are you using ? Version provided by your distribution or native
version downloaded from OOo website ?
Comment 2 trevor_christian 2009-07-01 04:06:25 UTC
This occurs on Fedora 10 with OOo 3.0.1 and GNOME 2.24.3.
Also occurs on Fedora 11 with OOo 3.1.0 and GNOME 2.26.2

Ok, but have you downloaded OOo yourself from OOo website or are you using the
version (probably go-oo) provided by your distribution ?

I strongly doubt this has anything to specifically do with the distribution OOo,
more like its a problem with the X Server. And Fedora OOo is not using go-oo,
its just a vanilla OOo with the additional patch of issue 90439 applied
