Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 104
Status of CVSup on openoffice.org (Mirror Sites)
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:32 UTC
Neils, Sorry if this isn't really your issue; please re-assign it to whomever is. I would like to find out what the status is with CVSup. When i posted the mirror site project email, I said: > - The CVS repository will be made available via CVSup. I would like to know: * Who will do the CVSup work? * About how long will it take? * When will it be done by? * Would we be willing to let someone from the community do it (I assume not but...)
This is not my issue as I'm in apps-dev, and this appears to be an instanciation specific issue. I'm reassigning to bphipps to determine proper assignment. Also, is this actually an issue at all? Is there current customer or public demand for this service? Seems like people are happy with anoncvs and the load on the anoncvs server appears low enough that there doesn't seem to be need for other solutions.
Accept issue (change status to ASSIGNED). Changed "OS": from Windows 200 - to Linux. Changed "Issue Type": from DEFECT - to ENHANCEMENT FYI ... this was originally proposed by Brian to proactively facilitate Community Development. Approach: * confirm strategy for supporting external mirrors * develop technical recommendation(s) * communicate technical recommendation(s) to community
There has been no activity here in months, and no community requests for cvsup. The client isn't asking for it, the community isn't asking for it. I'll reopen the issue if it becomes importand in any future Mirrors discussions.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
