Description Rainer Bielefeld 2009-11-05 15:09:02 UTC
I checked with attached sample11 from my testkit.zip:

If I export complete document "sample11.odt" to PDF (sample11_complete.pdf), all
links in TOC (Search for "Inhaltsverzeichnis") and also in little OOo image in
footer will work.

If I export only a part of the document (sample11_38_51.pdf), only some of the
hyperlinks in TOC will work, and hyperlink in little OOo image in footer also
does not work.

@rainerbielefeld: can you please provide an "easier" test case? Meaning, can
your reproduce it from scratch with a little doc or send us the non-anonymized
doc via e-mail (tracking content errors over 52 pages with "iiii" as text is
really a pain)?

Thank you!

I was able to reproduce the problem with the not working hyperlink for image in
footer, TOC problem still needs some tests!

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new WRITER document
2. Enable header / footer in menu 'Format - page' Header / Footer
3. Insert 10 times manual break - page break
4. go to first page, click into footer
5. Insert copy of bullet "bluestar.gif" from gallery
6. double click "bluestar.gif"
7. Insert Hyperlink URL
   <http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=106636>
   <ok>
8. save as "sample.odt"
9. Export as pdf with jpeg 85% 300 dpi all pages "sample.pdf"
10.  Export as pdf with jpeg 85% 300 dpi pages 5-10 "sample2.pdf"
11. open both .pdf and compare hyperlink function in footer
    only works in "sample.pdf", not in "sample2.pdf"

Same result "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version German UI activated
[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"! and with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual version English
UI WIN XP: [OOO320m2 (Build 9432)]"!

Currently I am not able to contribute a description showing the problem with a
new document "from the scratch". So may be we should reduce the scope to the
"hyperlink in little OOo image in footer" problem.
Comment 7 sibaweg 2009-12-05 11:25:56 UTC
Confirmed with OpenOffice.org 3.1.1, OOO310m21.

The problem shows already with a 2 page document:
- The link shows correctly if the whole document or page 1 is exported.
- The link is not shown if only page 2 is exported.

With more pages, the links shows correctly if page 1 is included (e.g. 1-5 OR
1;5;7). The link is not shown if page 1 is not part of the export.
Comment 8 Rainer Bielefeld 2009-12-05 13:00:31 UTC
That was quick :-)

NEW due to my own results on 2 different PCs and "comments from sibaweg Sat Dec
5 11:25:56 +0000 2009"

@sibaweg:
Do I understand you correctly, you tried an own 2 pages sample document?
What OS did you test?
Comment 9 eric.savary 2009-12-09 20:16:19 UTC
I've got it! :)

- new text document
- insert a header
- insert some text and apply a hyperlink to it
- Generate a page 2 (Ctrl+Enter)
- Export page 2 only to PDF
-> the hyperlink won't work in the PDF

"guessing" what the code "says": the second header is just a "link" of the
header on page 1. The export can get the displayed content on page 2 but the
"active" content (the link defined on page 1) gets lost.

@PL: please have a look.

Comment 11 Rainer Bielefeld 2009-12-10 07:32:09 UTC
es's results seem to be OS independent, and AFAIK uses Linux, so OS -> all
