The sample file is a Word 2003 document that contains a fairly complex table.
When imported into Writer some of the table borders are lost (see example image).

This occurs under both Visa and Linux Fedora.

Could the root cause be related to the 'fixed' bug 9860?

Open attached documents and see the vertically merged cells at the left of the
table. The border lines between them are not set.
