Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 111391
Wrong expression for "lock aspect ratio" in options
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:10 UTC
Hallo, I like to use the draw application. Nevertheless I have to report an issue: after using the "lock aspect ratio"-switch (german: "Seitenverhältniss sperren") the lock funcion stays active forever also after switching it off. So this function seems to to have a bug. regards, Joerg
Please add a step by step description where and when you switch it. Thanks.

I had to draw circles and tried to fix the aspect ratio. I set the "lock aspect ratio" same time with some other options, which I can not remember in detail. However I have found the solution meanwhile: the function "lock aspect ratio" (german: "Seitenverhältniss sperren") is konnected to the Botton "stick to grid during creating and changing" (german: "Einrasten / Beim Erzeugen und Bewegen"). I will also try to attach an sreenshot. Jörg
"Synchronize Axes " in this place is only for setting up the grid (as you can see in the header (Grid/Resolution). Thats why it is gone after one setting. It has nothing to to with the other option You can have easy temporarily access to "lock aspect ration" by just keeping SHIFT pressed when inserting an object.
In my opinion this window is a bit confusing: The interesting function of permant "lock aspect ratio" is connected to the botton "use grid during creating and changing". Here the function is hard to find, from the botton name one would expect to set up an other option.
This is not a defect but an enhancement. I have adapted the summary. Reassinged.
