To reproduce

open a slide, erase the pre-defined layout frame for text and add a formula to
the slide...  This would be the standard if a slide is to contain only a formula.

Now suppose that you think that you also need some other content apart from the
formula. Go to the layout selector and click on the title+content layout.

Rather than getting a content frame in addition to your formula, you get a
formula as big as the text frame.

I do not know if this is an enhancement or a defect... Reproducible. Reassigned.
