Document Recovery Error Window

PC Info:
Dell M4500
Intel i5 2.5Ghz
6GB RAM
Win 7 Pro SP1

I just downloaded and upgraded (installed) Open Office 3.3.

I run the Drawing application and start with a blank page. I try to add the first element, which is drawing a rectangle, as soon as I click to locate the first corner of the rectangle the Drawing application closes and an Open Office Document Recovery window pops-up (see attached screen capture).

Sorry, I did not realize it would save my entire bug report and submit when I tried to upload the screen capture.

Steps to repeat (I have done this 4 times in a row over the last 3 days)

1) Open Drawing Application
2) Zoom in 1 level (Select Zoom Icon '+' and click on the page)
3) Select the Rectangle tool
4) Click anywhere on the page to start a rectangle
5) the application should now crash.

Let me know if there is some kind of log that I can submit.

I tested OOo 3.3 on win7Home SP1, I can not confirm it.
I could insert any drawing object.
I tested with DEV300m101, same result, no crash.

Hello,

Yes I have submitted a couple of error logs when I get prompted. This issue now seems to cover Writer & Drawing. It seems that every time I open a Writer file it immediately crashes to the desktop then prompts for a document recovery.

I did not have these issues before until I upgraded to OpenOffice 3.3

my email address used when submitting reports david.miller@vici.com

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Openoffice 2 times now and I am still getting the same results. Draw & Writer are hanging as soon as a document is opened or when I try to start a new Document.

Tried to reproduce this bug but was unable to do so.

Operating system: Windows 10 Pro x64 Bit

Software version: OpenOffice 4.1.5 AOO415m1(Build:9789) - Rev. 1817496
2017-12-11 17:25

Steps used to reproduce:

1) Open Drawing Application
2) Zoom in 1 level (Select Zoom Icon '+' and click on the page)
3) Select the Rectangle tool from the right top side of the page.
4) Click anywhere on the page and drag right or left to create a rectangle.

Expected result: The application crashes.
Actual result: The rectangle was created.

Notes:
Also tried to zoom in more than once. Tried to zoom out after creating the rectangle.
Tried all shapes from the application.
