Description Rainer Bielefeld 2013-06-27 10:25:57 UTC
In Sample Document Attachment 80923 [details] for Bug 122100 under Heading you find Russian words
a) человеко-ненавистник
b) человеконенавистник

'a' should be recognized as wrong, but will be accepted.

This one might be related to or DUP of "Bug 57505 - words that are parsed as 2 words are allowed in the dictionary"

@Timon
We need to know name and source of your Russian dictionary.

Some German results with "AOO 4.0.0-Dev – English UI / German locale [AOO400m2(Build:9701) - Rev. 1495357
Rev.1495357 2013-06-23]" on WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", Common 4.0-dev User Profile and build in German dict.:

Recognized as wrong hyphen correctly:
Heulboje Heul-Boje

Accepted (but IMHO wrong):
Leuchtturm Leucht-Turm
Landebahn Lande-Bahn

Accepted, and might indeed be acceptable (I don't think it's acceptable)
Verstellpropeller Verstell-Propeller
Autoreifen Auto-Reifen

Is AOO's spell checker still Hunspell? And isn't this a Hunspell (or Whateverspell) problem?

On revision 1497172, bundled dictionary for ru-RU locale is downloaded [1].
On the extension repository, this [2] project.

Readme file of version 0.3.7 says (the dictionary has not been changed since 0.3.6):
> This hyphenation dictionary is based on syllable matching patterns and
> should be usable under other variations of Russian
