Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 126218
Width and Height for shape limited to 99.99 from Sidebar
Last modified: 2015-09-22 23:35:02 UTC
Created attachment 84625 [details] Width and Height can't be modified from Page Panel - Properties when mm unit is used I use Windows 7 and Open Office 4.1.1 Rev 4, portable version: http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/project/winpenpack/X-ApacheOpenOffice/releases/X-ApacheOpenOffice_4.1.1_rev4.zip 1. From Tools/Options/OpenOfficeDraw/General/UnitOfMeasurements - I chosen millimeters and scale 1/50. 2. I drawn a rectangular and I tried to change the dimension Height and Width from Page Panel, but these don't work if I insert values higher than 99.99mm. Also if the rectangular is resided with the mouse, the Width and Height values are not shown current, they remain at 99.99mm. Please see the attachment. Thanks a lot
I confirm what you described. It seems to be a value issue in numeric controls. Can't go beyond 99.99 for width and height areas only in Sidebar. Menu Format > Position and size dialog shows correct values. Maybe same root as issue 125899
Thanks a lot!
I agree the 99.99mm problem and I would add that when I try to remove any figures in the Size fields to enter my own this causes the shape to try to go to zero size, except it doesn't. It will read 0.01mm, 1.0mm, 9.00mm or 10.00mm. Then these figures will remain and add themselves to the ones I try to insert. It becomes a fight. With the floating Position and Size menu the field figures will be highlighted when a cursor is placed on a field and can be easily amended. No change to the shape takes place until OK'd or I press Enter. With the instant change of shape size created when using the sidebar menu the progam is being asked to create a zero width or height size when the field is cleared to enter the users data. The program/shape does not like it. I am using 4.1.1 and the above happens whether drawing scale is set or not. I add this here because I can see no reason to treat one problem separately to the other if amending the code for this menu. I think this is tied in with the fight to overcome the 99.99mm problem.
