Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 140
Incorrect position of imported Word graphic
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:34 UTC
The attached file includes a graphic which should be positioned at the left of the page: The text should be flowed in at the right of the graphic. Instead the text starts at the bottom, under the graphic, and then jumpts to the top, then the bottom of the picture. It looks ok in Word...

This problem is assigned to the wrong component, because this is an UI problem and must assigned to Stefan.Baltzer.
I assigned this one to Michael Ruess, because he is our Word filter specialist.
Not a problem of the filter; this has to be handled by the layout. A graphic/frame without wrapping does not fill out a sections column by itself. This has to be changed.
I had a look at the attached document as saw the problem. I'll look for a solution in the graphic positioning algorithm.
Fixed in src632.
this appears to have reverted to a failed state in OOo 641C. It used to be better.
Hi, the import of the horizontal position of the graphic has changed between 638 and 641. The 638 imported "0 cm from paragraph area", which works fine, the 641, however, imports "0 cm from paragraph text area" and so the graphic adds the paragraph indent to its position and overlaps the next columns and so on.
Fixed in HEAD.
Working in SRC651a (linux pro)
