Description vuillod 2003-06-17 21:54:47 UTC
I type 4 paragraphes.

If I set line numbering on paragraphes 1 and 3 with the toobar command, the
numbering remains to 1 on both paragraphes.

If I use the stylist, it "works" : the 3d paragraph numbering is set to 2.

Maybe we should assign a default numbering style to the toolbar command.

This is not about line numbering, it is about numbering lists. I have
modified the summary accordingly. However, the reporter is right:

Applying the numbering icon from the toolbar to two consecutive
paragraphs results in each starting the numbering with "1".
Applying the "numbering1" style from the Stylist to two consecutive
paragraphs results in the second continuing the numbering, started in
first par with "1", with "2".

Applying the toolbar icon should behave like applying the styles from
the stylist. This is not only consistent, but meets difficulties which
people might have with applying the icon when they want two paragraphs
which have a third between them to be part of the same numbered list.
