Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16345
Line-spacing "fixed" forgotten in graphical text
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:38:36 UTC
just learnt: within text and frames linespacing can be set to fixed within graphical text either from writer or drawing: no fixed linespacing available oops, what a strange leftout Martin Heger
add. this function is still not implemented (1.1 RC3) Within frames it is working fine Martin
Please try using the latest OpenOffice 1.1 Final , you can download it from www.openoffice.org many bug fixes and enhancements since your version and 1.1 Final . If the problem still happend in 1.1 please report back
please follow the steps utomo described and come back if this error still occurs on the latest office release i will close this issue if i do not read any further comment until 11-28-03 reassigend to jw
@ jw Hey jack fine, that you will take care: yes, graphical text (mass-text from the graphical fly-out) can still not be set to fixed line-spacing (OO.o.1.1 fin) have a look and you will understand, why this is - esp. for graphic-purpose - a strange leftout rgds martin
can you please tell me if i understand you right? i choose the textfield from the toolbars drawfunctions entered some text in the field. then looked for the paragraph dialog and try to set line spacing for the text in the textfield. -> not possible. so if this is what you tryed to do, i can confirm your issue. but i have to look if this is a bug or a must bee. please just tell me if i got this issue right.
@jack hello yes, absolutly right: all line-spacing-methods from paragraph are working fine, except the one "fixed", which is just missing. (bytheway: "all" is not reaaly true: "leading" (german: Durchschuss) should make a negative value also possible - but this is another story) Just to point out again, where the problems are: "grafical" needs to set absolut values for the objects, to have them fully controlled in: position (also a little problem), size, spacing etc. - hope this helped rgds martin
yes it does, the textfield is a object from OOo draw, i just looked in this application and yes it is missing here too. reassigned to the default owner of the drawing team set version to OOo1.1 set Os to all. i hope they can help you
reassigend to the default owner draw code
.
Reassigned to Christian.
I think the missing 'Line spacing' 'fixed' in Impress Draw is a Feature and not a bug. Please have a look.
hey Christian ehem , a feature ? what for ? Would you mind to explain ? many thanks Martin
RECHECKED IN
hey requested feature is inplemented to oo.o 1.1.2 so this issue might be closed as fixed thanks Martin
mistake from my side the feature Fixed-Line-Spacing - has made it into "frames" - did not made it into "grafical text" from the drawing fly-out my fault, nothiong to close with this issue (status: OO.o 1.1.3) Someone might set this issue to a higher level, it is obvious. rgds Martin
OO.o 1.4 and 1.9m62 set linespacing to fix within graphical text is still missing. Wonder, why it should not make it to 2.0 ? Martin
this may be closed, as "fixed" line-spacing within frames is a working feature of OO2.0 now rgds Martin
oops - sorry - I looked at the wrong place : nothing is fixed within graphical text - fixed line-spacing is still missing btw: I look whether fixed line-spacing is working within frames. Yes, it is working - but with a mislead concept, and that is the same as in graphical text: setting line-spacing is related to ALL lines within that object/frame, but it should be related to the selection only. so these both need a fresh-up of the concept, I guess. Martin
fixed line-spacing in frames? still missing (2.0.1) too sad. Martin
Version 680m150 mass-text from the graphical fly-out can still not be set to fixed line-spacing martin
still missing in 2.0.2 Martin
still missing in 2.0.3 (milestone 169) Martin
still missing in 2.0.3. RC6 Martin
sad to see: OO.o 2.1 it is functioning within writer-frames, but the feature fixed-line-spacing is still missing from grafical text within frames build from the drawing-menu. Martin
sad to see: still missing in 2.2.1 martin
sad to see: fixed line-space is still missing in 2..1 martin
just for the records still missing in OO.o 3.x Martin
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
