Reassigned to jeremy for ownership (to coordinate support from chris toward resolution) Please verify this has been resolved, then close issue. BTW ... you may need to follow-up with shane, as this seems to relate to the set-up of the newsgroup bridge.
Shane, Is this still an issue? --jeremy
Yes, it is still not working the way Michelle would like for it to work. See this for example: http://xml.openoffice.org/xml-cvs/ Notice the "ADDED" cvs messages have a full subject line, but the "MODIFIED" messages don't. This is controled by the way the cvs to mailing list code parses the changes and outputs the email message. IMHO, fixing this would be a feature. It is working as designed, but it could be improved. FWIW, the latest SC instantiation works the same way. Jermemy you should take this feature to Chris, and get it on the SC roadmap. The fact that Michelle is seeing the subject truncation in here news reader is just conincidence..the same data is viewable through the mailing list archives....so don't confuse the facts that this happens with all cvs modified message whethere they are viewed via newsgroups or not. If you have further questions let me know. Shane
Feature request...
As this relates to the technical infrastructure, reassigning to kat for ownership (to coordinate technical support as required toward resolution).
Accepted and entered as an issue on the OpenOffice project. http://projects.collab.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=2510
