Description lars 2003-07-27 17:06:28 UTC
keyboard shortcut for accessing objects please:

there is a ks for moving objects: "ALT + arrow keys".

But is there a ks for accessing objects? So when just using the keyboard, how
can I use the keyboard to access some object/the nearest object (in the visible
range)?

What about <shift>+<F5>?
Comment 2 lars 2003-07-27 18:00:08 UTC
OK, this does the job; but the help isn't very good on this: it
says: "select next frame". Also it should be in a "handling objects"
category; see also issue 17471.

And "tab" switches between objects; if an onject posses a
description, first the complete objecvt and then just the object
without descriptionis selecetd. How to selectjust the description to
edit it?

Lars, will you please confirm that this is still an issue for you in a
development build like 1.9.79 or later?

In the meantime, confirming as a new issue, and reassigning to requirements.
Comment 5 lars 2005-07-08 12:49:45 UTC
I haven't installed 1.9.79 and won't install it at the moment, sorry.

OOo: 3.0 Beta m2
os: Vista Home Premium x64

observations:

1. Shift + F5 doesn't work anymore, despite being listed in Writer help
2. Tab still cycles frames when a frame had been selected
3. Enter enters a frame then
4. Writer help still lists Shift + F5 as goto next "frame". "frame" might be
technically correct but who knows what this means?
5. There's a keyboard shortcut category for Graphic objects in the help now. It
misses the Tab cycles frames (say objects) shortcut and the Shift + F5 one if
that is still supposed to work.

Conclusion:

This issue has already been assigned to the UEt, where it should be analysed. I
will be happy if observation 5 gets rectified.

Thx, Lars
