Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18170
"in" as length unit
Last modified: 2004-07-19 12:15:54 UTC
When specifying a length, "in" should also be an abbreviation for inches. Currently, OOo uses constructions like fo:margin-left="1.5inch" instead of the abbreviation that one would expect from the XSL-FO specification (namely fo:margin-left="1.5in") (I'm not sure if this is a defect or an enhancement; it's a little of both, I guess.)
"in" should be supported as well.

Fixed in CWS "OASIS". The new OASIS Open Office file format uses "in" rather than "inch".

Yes, okay, e.g. seen in inserted images in Writer (fo:clip)
fixed
verified.
Setting depends on the global setting in OOo / Tools and it works now fine also in the file format (SRC680m48). (...) ...draw:name="graphics1" text:anchor-type="paragraph" svg:x="1.452in" svg:y="0.6146in" (...)
