Description lars 2003-09-03 13:33:34 UTC
join documents proposal, so allow to combine several documents into one (adding
the others pages to one doc.)

I think this feature is good for company, so people can work on same
documents and all changes can be reviewed, and can be applied/added to
the original documents if it is approved.
Comment 3 lars 2003-09-20 12:15:49 UTC
eg. for Calc or for Writer

in Calc new sheets get added, in Writer pages with pagestyle break get
added; this is slightly different than a Master document, but perhaps
this on serves the needs too.

@ utomo99 : did you want to confirm this issue ?

Lars, why doesn't the master doc concept meet your needs?
Comment 5 lars 2004-02-11 21:01:03 UTC
the Master document doesn't work with complex documents: I tried to add 2 large
Writer files, and the second etc. ones messed up.

Also it might be of interest to have different file types within one file; some
sort of container, but with an index and page numbering continously for all
documents?
Comment 6 guido.pinkernell 2004-02-12 09:18:04 UTC
I see what you mean. The master doc "messes" up subdoc up in that it replaces
the formattings of each subdoc with a uniform setting. So what you think of is
to join all documents into one document without overwriting the individual
formattings.

Set to new.
