I created a trivial MS-Word document, consisting of one page, with a footer and
the OpenOffice logo in the upper right corner.  When importing into OO6.09, the
image is not there, but replaced by the text "Read Error."

I believe this works in Staroffice 5.2 (but I have not tested on this small
document).

I'll try to attach the document later.

That might be right. Due to some changes had some problems with loading graphics
from Word documents. This is already fixed in an internal revision 618.

Thank you Michael.  The image also loads in 6.13 and 6.14 (the position may be
slightly off (too close to the border), but I can see the image clearly.)

So the problem seems solved also in 613/614 I close the bug.
