This is not a problen of the WinWord Import. The Word processor can't insert any
DrawingObjects/-Controls into the Header or Footer section. The simple reason
is, that these objects (which we inherit from the Drawing Engine) can't show at
multiple positions. The Writer own frames like the Text-, Graphic and OLE-Frames
can handle this.

Andreas,

This is a leftover from Juergen Pingel (issue had status resolved/later and thus
was missed by most queries), maybe fixed by now, please check and close if
appropriate.

Thanks
Eike

Now we're able to handle drawing objects in header/footer. This problem has been
solved for OOo1.1. There seems to be another problem about the position, this is
already fixed for OOo2.0. Not fixed but planned for OOo2.0 is the remaining
issues #14045 about the layer of the objects. At the moment they are above the
text :-(
