If users could create the hyperlink, they should use them. I will
reassign this to the responible engineer in the next few days.

Just to confirm .....

The hyper-links work fine when saving as Impress. It is only when
the presentation is saved as PowerPoint that the links are faded and
no longer work after reopening.

Thanks,
Cheryl.

The problem is, that the hyperlink is part of an OLE, which comes from
OO (in this case part of the table as content of another application
(Calc) within Impress).
At activating the hyperlink in the Calc-OLE (or Writer-, Impress-,
Draw-OLE) it is not possible, that the according application window
comes up. That nowadays only works, when i.e. the hyperlink is
activated directly in the opened application, it has been inserted to.
Exceptions are inserted OLEs coming from other products like MS. In
that case the appropriate window is handled by the "foreign" server
application (=Excel in example). Although it is perhaps not easy to
solve, we should make it work within OLEs, which are coming from OO. I
corrected the component to framework (it concerns each OO-application).

Sorry, this issue has to be considered for OO.o later.

I checked with "Ooo 3.0.0 RC3 Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [OOO300m8
(Build9357)]" and see some progress for Presentation: Steps 1-6 from original
report now work as expected. But all other hyperlinks in OLE objects still do
not work.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
