Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 22828
freeform line tool
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:42:41 UTC
I would like to be able to use the Presentation tool to create Interactive white baord slides. I've found I can create my slides on one layer and then lock that layer and annotate on a new layer. However the freeform line tool always seems to default to and draw in black and really thin when selected. I can change the colour afterwards and the line width but it would be nice to be able to annotate in that colour to begin with. Am I doing this wrong? It would also be nice to have a [floating] quick colour picker to make choosing a new colour a single click affair, either a grid of 8/16/32 distinct colours or a "colour wheel" where any colour can be chosen.
Reassigned to Bettina.

To the author: I am not exactly clear on what you are reporting (please update the ticket if I am wrong), but it appears that your enhancement would be to let the user change the pen color (and line attributes) during playback of a Slide Show. Am I correct? PowerPoint lets you select the pen attributes from the menu in the bottom corner on a slide during playback. Impress does not have this feature. Steps: File -> New -> Presentation Empty Presentation -> Create Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings Select Mouse pointer as pen Enter any text or lines on the default slide Select Slide Show –> Slide Show to run it Use the pen to draw on the slide, but notice you can't change the pen attributes while in the slide show Note: I created a slide, changed the color in the top toolbar, picked the pencil icon, and I was able to draw in the new color selected while not in a slideshow. Note: I wasn't able to use Layers in Impress
@dgold1 please describe more precise, which steps you are doing to get the pencil cursor in a diffent line colour (or width).
