Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2351
Text exceeds the boundary of viewable slide - Build 638c
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:42 UTC
Problem and how to reproduce it: 1. Using another application (I used Microsoft Excel 2000) create a very large string, approximately 2,000 characters. 2. Open the OpenOffice 638 application. 3. Go to the File menu. 4. Click on AutoPilot and select Presentation. 5. You get the AutoPilot Presentation Dialog Box. 6. Click on the Create Command button. 7. You get the Modify Slide Dialog Box. 8. Select an AutoLayout and Click on the “OK” command button. 9. You get the slide with their respective text boxes. 10. Copy the string from step1 and paste it to the “Click to add Text” textbox. 11. If you scroll to the bottom of the slide, you will notice a large section of the text box (and the text within it) is no longer viewable. Related Notes: a) Not only is the text no longer viewable, but no scrollbar is provided in the text box to scroll to the bottom of the unviewable text.
To realize that problem one just needs to add a lot of paragraphs, so that the text rolls out of the visible area. To get to the bottom-part of such a big object, scrolling via scrollbar should be possible and for scrolling during editmode the pageUp/pageDown-key and cursor-key can be provided.
