Description issues@www 2000-12-14 22:28:13 UTC
I downloaded the Linux 613 binary. The installation went smoothly until very
near the end of component registration; it abruptly dumped core and quit. I
tried three times with the same results, with and without Java.

I'm running a Debian woody system which uses glibc-2.2; I noticed that the glibc
version was reported at the beginning of the install. I would try building the
source, but I never was able to get 609 to build, after hours of fiddling with
it. I'm also using XFree86-4.01 with DRI and agpgart and mga modules loaded.
Might this be the problem?

Ok, I've tested version 641 C instead of 613 using Redhat 7.2, but
now everything works for me.
