Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2397
macro dialog box clipped at right edge
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
The macro dialog box is about 10-20 pixels too narrow to the right, so that the buttons down that edge are clipped short. See screenshot. Using Windows 2k, Matrox video card, running at 1280x1024, 32 bit colour.
There is a similar problem with the tools->options dialog box in Writer, except that there the bottom of the box is even more clipped, so I can see about three pixels at the top of what look like three buttons at the bottom right-hand corner of the dialog box. This is more severe, because these buttons -- presumably -- say OK, Cancel, and something else; and there's no way to tell which is which or to press any of them.
To reproduce, one has to set Tools-Options-OpenOffice.org-View - "Scale" to 110%, OK When reopening the Tools-Options dialog, its buttons dissapear as well. This occurs in OpenOffice only, not in internal StarOffice Build. Reassigned to Oliver
I get these problems with view->zoom set to 100%. I do not need to change the scale to 110%. However, Stefan Balzer's point did suggest a workaround: shrinking the view -> zoom to 75% lets me see the whole of the tools->options dialog. Zooming to 75% does not affect the tools->macro dialog, which remains clipped as in the screenshot attached to my original bug report. This is with a Matrox G400 card running at 1280x1024, 32 bit colour, using small fonts at 96 dpi under Windows 2000, SP2. The display drivers are Matrox's 5.52.010, which are the latest I can find. HTH, Andrew

This is certainly fixed in my version of 641D on windows. So is the tool->configure (anpassen?) box, which was showing the same symptoms. I don't know if marking this bug fixed marks as fixed all the others which were shown as duplicates. I hope not, becasue I certainly haven't tested (or experienced) them. But I do want to record that the original one has been fixed. Thanks.
