Description issues@www 2000-10-21 08:06:34 UTC
I cannot save any files. Whatsoever. Of any kind of document. When I try to
save, for example, the file named test.txt ( or dot anything else ) to a
directory c:\junk, it makes a empty subdirectory of c:\junk\test.text and a file
named maybe c:\junk\azh342.tmp, then tells me I had a general I/O failure and
the file was not saved.

Being a hacker at heart I spend the next 5 hours trying _everything_ I could
think of to resolve this. I tried to save every possible format of file
available in the suite. Next time I will pay attention when I am told "You Will
Find Bugs" !!

So I uninstalled (again) and deleted the version 6 download, then went and
grabbed StarOffice 5.2 --- The shit rocks my friend. I don't often download 80
megs on my v.90 modem, but if you can get the file - saving issues squared away
I will download 6.1 even if it 120 megs.
