Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 253
AutoCorrection bugs! Cut/Paste with other applications! Attributing uppercase Greek Sigma with "lowercase" attribute!
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:34 UTC
The wordprocessor exhibits the following that I think that it is related with AutoCorrection. * Noticeable pause after entering the first word into the wordprocessor at Startup. * Typing in the word "do" or any other two letter word, changes itself into "1/2". * Closing the Autocorrect Dialog Box seems to cause the OpenOffice to hang. I can not cut/paste from other applications into the wordprocessor and this maybe applies with some other parts of OpenOffice. When I enter several collections of random of Greek Uppercase Letters, one string with captial Sigma at the end, and another with uppercase Sigma (0x3A3) in the middle. Then highlight the Greek and select the "lowercase" attribute. Both uppercase Sigmas appear as 0x03C3 inital/medial(?) form regardless of position in the string. Postscript! Where do I report the bug about OpenOffice trying to connect itself to the Internet at Startup?
Please report one problem at a time.
OK, hopefully the last collective bug ever... 1. Pause after first entry: I can not reproduce this. Please verify in a 619 and comment. If you still have the same experience, please describe your system. 2. Do -> 1/2... Not reproducible. 3. Crash when closing the dialogue: Not reproducible either 4. Greek uppercase letters: I don't understand your problem. Please be more precise with what you see and what you expect. What font do you use? 5. Office trying to connect to internet.... "Framework"
Please verify your findings with oo627 and comment. Thank you.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
