Description issues@www 2001-01-01 16:41:48 UTC
Exporting drawing with transparent images to .eps looses info about transparency - images become stacked AFAIR. Probably info about transparency is lost for all types of objs - don't remember. Sorry if it's a duplicate or obvious.

This bug is present in 613 too.
Comment 2 Dieter.Loeschky 2001-01-09 16:19:40 UTC
Changing component status from code to ui.

Hello, I have tested this in a 632 and I could not reproduce it. Maybe you can test it in an newer version?

Hi,
Yes, I justed tested it with 632 too - things didn't change, and there are
severe problems with exporting drawing with transparent objects in it (not only
with images).
It seems to me that you are confusing 'File->print' and 'File->export'. I'm
talking about 'File->export'.
I've attached a testcase - open it, export to .eps (level 2, color mode). BTW,
a lot of problems with clipping when doing EPS export can be seen with this file
too.

Finally I found what you mean. When transparency is handled trough
the alpha-canal eps can only show full transparency or no
transparency depending on the threshold value. The development told
me further that a vector format is not suited for transporting
transparency.
The clipping problem will be handled.

Because this bug will not be fixed it is going to be closed.
