Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 29083
automatic change of font in files created in OO and opened with MS-Word
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
Files that were created in OO (all versions although I'm using the latest Beta) that use the Hebrew font David, when opened in MS-Word - the font of the text changes to Miriam (the default font of Microsoft Word and a system font in Windows OS) but the drop-down box with the fonts name continues to show David. This happenes only with these 2 fonts, and only with regularly- formatted text (David bold looks like David). The font cannot be changed to David, and even copying the text to a new document keeps the Miriam look while insisting that it's David.
This seems to be a special case. I cannot reproduce this on my machine using OO 1.1.1 / 680m38 and MS Word XP/2003. Please attach native OO Writer document which exported to MS Word format produces the mentioned change in font. Thanks for supporting us!
Created attachment 15281 [details] Fonts appear different in OO and in versions of MS-Word
confirmed on OOo680_m41 and word-xp ms shows only the default font wich is times new roman in my case. set target to OOo 2.0 set status to new

MRU-MM: can you see what's going wrong in the export without having the source .sxw? When opening the file in WW, the CTL font is mapped to the default font.
