Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 30204
Export to image works incorrectly in slides view
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:14 UTC
When working in slides view, you cannot select a single slide and export it as an image (JPEG, etc.). No matter which slide is selected, the first slide is the one that is exported. To reproduce the problem: 1. Open an existing presentation. I was using a PowerPoint slideshow. 2. Change to slides view by going to View / Workspace / Slides View. 3. In the main window, select a slide other than the first one. 4. Export the slide by going to File / Export, and select an image file type, such as JPEG. 5. After the export is complete, review the image. It will not be the slide you selected. It will be the first slide in the presentation. This is not the expected (or desired) behavior. This problem does not occur if you are in Drawing View, where you are only viewing one slide at a time. In this case, the export functions correctly.
Will have a look.
Duplicated on Win XP Pro 2002 SP1, OOo 1.1.2 Duplicated on Win XP Pro 2002 SP1, OOo 2.0_680 However, I suggest this may be a design flaw not a bug, i dont think it intends to take acocunt of what is sellected, File > Export exports the whole presentation if you select somehting like say.. HTML. I agree with your idea of how it should behave. If it's going to export one slide it should be the one you select. *voting*
I can reproduce the behaviour. I think this is not a bug but an enhencement. Please have a look.
Hello Christian, as the slide is selected in the slideview, only the selected slide should be exported, it is the same function, which works in the drawing view. In case nothing or all is selected, then it makes sense to export the first slide per default. If a slide is selected, this slide should be exported. Printing for example also works for a selected slide.

After sitting out there for 2.5 years, is this bug ever going to be fixed?
