Description osavill 2002-02-12 11:26:19 UTC
I was trying to remove all except the first two pages, to use as a template,
from a document that was full of tables, pp styles, page styles, footers etc.,
etc. Having gone to my start point and done <Shift><Ctrl><End> the menu option
to delete simply wasn't there. Pressing the <Delete> key had no effect either.

I beleive this is because a protected field was in the selected
area, in this case a TOC.

If you attempt this in Word I beleive it deletes all except any
protected regions.

However OO handles this some kind of prompt to inform the user why
their delete attempt hasn't worked would be good. Better would be to
offer the option to really delete all or leave protected regions.

To treat the selected items differently (deleting only the deletable)
would be an enhancment.

Reassigned to Christian.

Any movement on this one ?
Comment 5 lgaldur 2005-04-04 18:09:35 UTC
How about popping a dialog stating there are protected items and prompt whether
the deletable part should still be deleted?

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
