Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 31335
The default "Automatic" alignment of the Table in text document (with Hebrew locale settings) is not correct.
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
In Text Document the Automatic alignment should align Table to theRight side of the page (not to the Left) if Local and CTL settings areset with Hebrew value. In order to reproduce the bug you should take the following steps: 1. In Tools->Options->Language Settings->Languages the "Locale settings" and "CTL" should be initialized with "Hebrew" value. 2. Open new text document. 3. Insert Table. 4. Insert text in a couple of cells. 5. In cell with text: Mouse Right Click: Column->Optimal Width
I would like to clarify some points in bug description. That this is not Exactly about the Automatic alignment setting to be changed/fixed, but the behavior of Column. OptimalWidth that currently changes the alignment from Automatic to Left, but for RTL languages (Locale and CTL settings) should change it to Right instead.
MRU->OS: the "optimal width" feature should take care of the text direction's context.
