I tried the new banner and both Goolie and I agreed that it did not work for a 
couple of reasons.  First, the .gif image was not as clear as the previous .gif; 
second, and more important, the banner effectively erased much of the 
distinction between Star Office and OpenOffice.org. Finally, I felt that the 
animated gif countered the simple lucidity of the page. -Louis

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved
<wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for
details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
