Description seunolta 2004-07-28 20:01:44 UTC
This may relate to issues 26534 and 4908. The thesaurus gives - lovely - long
lists of optional terms, which really demand a larger window (within the dialog
box) for easy viewing.

MRU->SBA: pls have a look.

SBA: Related to the other issues, but not a duplicate.

The Thesaurus box is indeed a little small for efficient use.

Note: The number of proposals depends (as well as the entries in the "meaning"
box) on the installed linguistic components. Therefore they vary from one
language to another and are different in OOo and StarOffice.

SBA->BH: A good example: The English word "go" and the "Thesaurus response" in
StarOffice. The "ratio" of "readable text contens area vs. "the area the
scrollbars steal" is far from perfect :-)

The ideal solution would of course be a resizable thesaurus, defaulting to a
small view but readily expanding to show more words.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
