the installation process does not detect the presence of the Java Runtime 
Environment, not even when browsing to the directory where the java machine is 
installed.
the instalation of the version 609 had no problems here.

After 609 some changes have been made so that the news OO version only detect
Java 1.2.2 or higher. 
Please be so kind to upgrade your Java installation.
