Because of a too huge workload I can't fix this issue for OOo 2.01 -> changed target to OO Later.
*** Issue 103356 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. ***
please resolve this bug, this is a show stopper for me adopting the OpenOffice SDK for use with my web-project as I cannot make a portable document (that will open in MS Word).
Added issue to cws[impress186], changed target to OOo3.3
sj: I heard from a customer having a similar problem, if he set a background graphic for a TextFrame in OOo, and within that textframe's contents, he is adding a TextGraphicObject again with a GraphicURL... the same error is caused.
sj: I don't get the assertion "SvxShape::GetAnyForItem() Returnvalue has wrong Type" any longer, but the resulting document is still defect receiving the error message "There is not enough memory..." if opened in Word. sj->hbrinkm: When exporting the document the general escher export is not used, so it seems to be a Writer only problem with graphic objects. I will add a flattened attachment reducing the bugdoc to only 2 graphic objects.

SJ, I have example Java code that reproduces this issue for Write->exporting to->MS Word, or rather when you try opening the document in word. What I have found is that for a textframe, if you specify a BackGraphicURL (with an embedded src link), and then in the XText of the textframe you add a TextGraphicObject with an embedded GraphicURL, you get this out of memory (OOM) error. The Java code I uploaded for bug: 103356 Thanks for your help thus far!
Any further updates, an ETA? I see dev. builds for 3.3 being made available. Thanks in advance, Chris
Hello, any further advances on this one? I see, http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/entry/new_ooo_dev_3_31 3.3.x codebase being developed. Thanks in advance, Chris
I notice when using OpenOffice 3.2.1 and saving either my text document (with frames that have embedded images) or the updated flattened text document uploaded by the engineer results in no images being loaded in MS Word 2007. See resultant document. While it doesn't present an error to the screen its worse that no content seems to load.
